CQB Pistol Class.

Defensive Handgun Techniques.

Focusing on refining fundamental skills for improved accuracy and speed, emphasizing efficiency of movement, recoil management, and close-contact shooting.

This 4-hour pistol course instructs students to enhance critical, fundamental skills to improve accuracy and manipulation in compressed time frames. An in-depth look at the reactionary gap will provide the emphasis for establishing effective skills that lead to success in close contact situations. The course emphasis will be: Efficiency of Movement, Managing Recoil, Compressing Time and Accuracy at Close Contact Distances. 


A prior basic handgun class or experience is desirable for this course. Repetitive, common-sense drills will develop student confidence to deploy their handgun in close contact scenarios with confidence. This class is combines practical application interspersed with brief information and technique explanations all while on the range. Recommended for semi-autos but revolvers are welcome too.

  • Efficient Manipulation Techniques via Repeatable Movement Patterns

  • Enhanced Shooting Platforms/Techniques

  • Malfunction Clearing

  • Reloads

  • Movement in Close Quarters with Handgun

For this class you need to bring (Required Equipment):

  • Your gun that you want to build proficiency with. A spare is a good idea too..

  • Recommend 300-400 rounds of good quality ammo

  • Eye and Ear Protection

  • At least 3 magazines* or speedloaders needed for this class.

  • Magazine pouch.*

  • Strong side hip holster.* Required

  • Clothes for the weather, sunscreen, hat, water etc. Our classes go on rain or shine

  • T shirt with tight collar prevents hot brass down your shirt… Hat good too.
